Jackie & Andy's elderly neighbor had fallen last week and now is in assisted living..He left behind an 8 year old dog name Debro..The family couldn't take her sooooooo... guess who took her in.. Jackie said,they are looking for a new home for her..she is very gentle and loving..Meet Debro..she is pretty..

Just recieved some photo's from Jackie & Andy's visit to his parents vacation home on Manitoulin Island, Ontario, Canada..Talk about a beautiful place.You can enjoy your breakfast on their deck and soak up the gorgeous Manitou Lake..Jackie and Andy were married there 8 years ago..It was an absoultely beautiful wedding ..The wedding party stayed at Red Lodge across the Lake, Andy's grandparents had own the Lodge at one time..what a cute place and nice setting..I am sharing a link to Red Lodge www.manitoulin-island.com/redlodge and the link to Manitoulin Island www.manitoulin-island.com Enjoy the scenery..Below are a few pictures Jackie sent of their visit..Enjoy!!

I have some very exciting news!!!! Brenda Addison "aka" Hattie of "Hattie's Workshop"..has a new online magazine called "Down the Primitive Path" coming on August 1st..She asked me several weeks ago to be apart of her new magazine and if I would like to write and article for it..The article could be about anything I liked..Needless, to say I was so surprised but honored at the same time.. You may take a "peek" at Hattie's new magazine and see what wonderful things she will be offering very soon.. Be sure and sign up for her newsletter while you are there...I hope you will enjoy my article...I had alot fun writing it..Thank you Hattie for asking me :)

Jackie & Andy have added two new members to the Farm..Meet Louise she is a 13 year old Pygmy Goat...what a sweetheart..their friend was moving to Texas and wanted to find her a good home, and she has.. :)

Malabar Farms is on the cover of the July/Aug Country Register..We would like to say a "Huge" Thank You to Barb (editor of the Country Register) for doing this...We love the Country Register and working with Barb on our advertising..When she mentioned to us that she wanted to put Malabar Farms on the next issue we were so excited..Now to see it in print.. We hope that with this exposure to Malabar that more people will visit this wonderful place and enjoy it's beautiful surroundings..Thanks again Barb :) www.malabarfarm.org

A few new photos from the Farm:

Our "beautiful" daughter Jackie feeding her Alpaca's..she has always had a love for animals even when she was a little girl...she has such a loving heart..

 

A couple of newcomer's last year to the Farm looking for a new home and they found a good one..

 

A few more feather friends..that have the easy life :)

 

The Alpaca's recieved a haircut this spring..they look so funny, but I'm sure they are alot cooler..

The 2 barn cats..Austin is on the left and he came with the Farm..the other one is one of several Andy got for the Barn..They all have been fixed so they don't have any little ones running around..

These little chicks are laying hens and they will go out to the Hen House when they get alittle bigger..

Update on "Uno" the baby squirrel..   Jackie released him earlier this month...She has seen him several times and she still leaves food out for him..

 

 

A gift to Jackie from her Dad 1959 Austin Healy he had when he was in the Air Force..Jackie had it painted last year..Our son Chuck recieved the 1965 G T O and our son Jeremy gets the 1964 Bonneville..A very generous and loving Dad..It's nice to give your children a gift and to know they truly appreciate it and will take care of it..We are so proud of our children and their families and we love them all very much..What greater gift to know that your children are happy and loved!!!

A new baby born at the Farm..Jackie said, when they awoke on Thursday morning they saw a mother deer out their kitchen window standing down by their  culvert and when they looked thru their binoculars they saw her little fawn..They were able to take these two snapshots of the little bundle..Enjoy :)

 

 

Here is another new member to the Michigan Farm....Although she will have to stay inside meet "Tweet Tweet" the cockatiel..Jackie said,Brady name her and you can just get a Peek of Brady as the bird sits on his shoulder..

 

 

 

Jackie sent this picture of an orphan baby squirrel who will be staying at the farm till he is old enough to be released..Meet"Uno" Update:He is now eating on his own now..

The weather Tuesday made it a perfect time to take a road trip to one of my favorite get aways.."Malabar Farms" a very relaxing few hours away to enjoy this beautiful place...I stopped in at the Vistors Center to say Hi to Sybill & Peg and catch up with them..Sybill is now a grandmother to a darling little granddaughter..she shared some photos of the new little arrival what a sweetheart..Congratulations again Sybill..you will make a great grandmother!!! After our nice visit I made my way to the Main Barn and Homestead and took alot of pictures to share with you on what the Farm looks like during the Spring...And of course with Spring comes some new little arrivals to the Farm..They are so "sweet"... I will post them on Wednesday....stop back to see these darling little newborns you will fall in love with them..
